The new inter-university degree program in collaboration with the University of Milano-Bicocca, currently undergoing ministerial accreditation, is structured to be predominantly delivered remotely. The Bachelor's Degree in Legal Sciences and Innovation aims to train legal professionals with transversal skills, combining a solid foundational education with expertise in the most innovative areas of law, enabling them to operate effectively in both national and international contexts within a framework characterized by continuous technological development.

To ensure continuous and effective interaction between instructors and students, lectures are conducted online in synchronous mode, while laboratories, internships, and examinations take place in person. All lectures are recorded and made available to students on the digital platform Kiro (https://elearning.unipv.it/). Throughout the entire educational path, students are supported by tutors who participate in virtual classes and interact with students through the digital platform Kiro, both in collective spaces and individually.

Educational goals

In accordance with the educational goals for the reference class, the inter-university, predominantly 'distance learning' Bachelor's degree course in Legal sciences and innovation has the specific aim of training legal practitioners to work in businesses and the public administration. This professional figure deals with multiple legal aspects relating to the activities of private companies and public administrations, in a national and supranational setting marked by continuous technological innovation. In addition to a sound legal background, the graduate must have interdisciplinary competences and skills that enable him/her to relate to topics such as the use of Big Data and impact of artificial intelligence on the world of business and public administration. In order to achieve these specific educational objectives, the Bachelor's degree course covers three main areas of learning: 1. A legal area, with course subjects aimed at providing learners with both the knowledge indispensable to a legal practitioner in private companies and public administrations and with a method for interpreting and moving around in the regulatory system, whatever the relevant work context. - An economic area, enabling students to acquire specific accounting skills when working in private and public sector companies. - An IT area, enabling students to acquire IT skills, especially the operation of machine learning systems. In order to pursue these specific educational objectives, theoretical learning and a sound knowledge of fundamental legal institutions is supplemented by practical training activities and specialist course subjects, suitable for developing complementary skills useful for solving the many practical problems that the professional must be able to identify and deal with. Educational activities of the course of study are also aimed at helping the learner to acquire transversal skills useful for promoting teamwork. Fundamental legal knowledge is mainly concentrated in the first two years of the course of study. The subjects taught in the first year are of a fundamental nature and form the basis of any preparation in the legal area, as they are intended to provide the essential legal notions and concepts, provide knowledge of national and European regulatory systems, and acquire the necessary technical terminology. In addition to the above, other subjects are taught to develop the individual student's ability to gain more historical, philosophical and linguistic knowledge. The English language in particular will be taught, with special reference to learning essential legal and technical terminology. To enable students to acquire interdisciplinary skills and approach the challenges of the future, the course will also offer teaching in computer science and machine learning. The course of study combines basic theoretical training with a more practical dimension. In order to foster the more practical side of the Bachelor's degree course with a view to training the future professional figure, workshop activities, internships and work placements will be offered in the second year. The third year of the course includes a compulsory course subject in the economics area, so as to complete the multidisciplinary preparation of the learner, a compulsory course subject in civil and criminal procedural law, and four elective subjects. Students will be able to choose from a range of private or public law course subjects. All course subjects provide a balance between basic theoretical aspects and practical experiences. The proposed educational path seeks to allow the student to build a pathway as close as possible to their intended career field, allowing them to acquire knowledge and skills in the legal sciences and in other closely related scientific disciplines, including economics, business and computer science (including the basic notions of machine learning). The course will conclude at the end of the third year with a final thesis.

Career opportunities
