How to apply

Application procedures for international students can change according to your status, check below if you are a EU or non-Eu prospective student:

If you are a non-EU citizen holding foreign academic qualifications and residing abroad you are considered as a non-eu prospective student.

Non-Eu prospective students residing outside of Italy need to request a study visa (type D). Find more here.

There is a limited number of seats available for non-eu students in each program (called contingente): check here the available seats for non-eu for your favorite program for the a.y. 2025-26.

Pay attention: if you belong to one of the following categories, you are considered as a EU prospective student:

  • EU citizens (including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, San Marino and Vatican City State) holding foreign academic qualifications;
  • Students holding foreign academic qualifications who have dual citizenship, one being European;
  • Italian citizens holding foreign academic qualifications;
  • Non-EU citizens holding foreign academic qualifications and regularly residing in Italy with a residence permit.

You are considered as a EU prospective student, if you are a European citizen or if you belong to one of the following categories:

  1. EU citizens (including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, San Marino and Vatican City State) holding foreign academic qualifications;
  2. Students holding foreign academic qualifications who have dual citizenship, one being European;
  3. Italian citizens holding foreign academic qualifications;
  4. Non-EU citizens holding foreign academic qualifications and regularly residing in Italy with a residence permit.

Eu students do not need a Study Visa.
