European Alliance Mobility EC2U

The "European Universities" initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between European universities through strategic alliances, such as EC2U. These consortia, which bring together academic institutions from different cultures and educational traditions, are designed to create a more cohesive and inclusive European education system.

In particular, EC2U is developing training models and exchange programs that go beyond traditional barriers between universities and cities, creating a network that fosters collaboration among students, faculty, and institutions. The initiative contributes to building a "European university" based on common principles of inclusivity and accessibility.

EC2U offers opportunities for exchanges and mobility for students, faculty, and administrative-technical staff within an integrated European university space. It represents transnational collaboration between civic universities, closely connected to their social and geographical contexts. It involves approximately 200,000 students and promotes multilingualism and European cultural diversity.
