Research | EC2U Virtual Institutes
Virtual Institutes are joint institutes "without physical walls" that host international and interdisciplinary teams composed of students, professors, researchers, and innovators from the seven universities that are part of the EC2U Alliance. Their goal is to find innovative solutions to local, national, European, and global challenges.
This is a completely new way of promoting the rapid integration of research results and innovation in education through new challenge-based learning pathways and a variety of short-term training opportunities, such as internships, summer/winter schools, workshops, etc.
Like the EC2U Alliance, the Virtual Institutes are inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Specifically: "Good Health and Well-being," "Quality Education," and "Sustainable Cities and Communities".
GLADE is the EC2U Virtual Institute dedicated to promoting health and well-being for all. Through three key areas, GLADE aims to:

🔹 Promote research with studies, guidelines, and proposals for local authorities
🔹 Improve health on campuses with new services dedicated to university well-being
The goal is to create collaborations to foster well-being in the seven EC2U universities and their cities.
