Academic Recognition and grade conversion
The recognition of activities carried out abroad follows the criteria established by the 'European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) of the European Commission, considering the compatibility of study programs and the learning outcomes achieved abroad with those required by the home degree program.
One ECTS credit corresponds to one Credito Formativo Universitario (CFU).
To obtain recognition of academic activities, mobility beneficiaries must request the final transcript of records from the host university, which must include details of the completed courses, grades obtained, and corresponding credits.
The academic activities undertaken abroad must align with the Learning Agreement, which is prepared and approved before departure and/or modified during the mobility period.
Activities that are not included in the Learning Agreement or its approved modifications may not be eligible for recognition.
For grade conversion, the cumulative distribution tables available on this page apply.
The ECTS grading scale and tables facilitate the transfer of academic results (expressed as grades) between different grading systems, enabling the conversion of grades from one country to another according to shared European standards.
